A dermal anchor is a special piercing that is placed subdermally under the skin. Only a little upper part, the screw heads or gems, are visible.
Care should be taken according to an appropriate placement and rubbing due to clothing and movement.
Further on, rejection reactions and enclosing infections are possible.
For that reason an accurately sanitariness is urgently required.
Depending on body type, tension and location on the body a dermal anchor can be pierced in a variety of ways.
Once the skin has healed, the screw heads or gems can be replaced by a professional.
